A twill weave gives a subtle diagonal ribbing on the surface and improves drape and durability; the houndstooth creates a characteristic, microscopically fine pattern that looks very elegant up close. Care for wool

For 100% wool, the safest option is dry cleaning or gentle hand washing at 30°C with a mild wool detergent. Avoid high temperatures and bleach; do not dry in a tumble dryer. After washing, wring out excess water, lay flat, and leave to dry in a well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight. Iron on the left side using steam and a thin cloth, at temperatures up to about 150°C, which will result in the least visible creases. Store away from strong sunlight and rolled coils to maintain the natural springiness of the fibers.
