Italian wool in houndstooth check pattern, ideal for a stylish blazer or a set

Product name: Wool-blend fabric for a blazer in a check pattern — a classic that can make an impression in the office and add self-confidence in the city. It is a fabric that excellently combines formality with everyday style. Composition: 100% wool. Fabric category: Wool.

      Properties of wool

Thanks to natural wool, the fabric features excellent thermoregulation and breathability, making it comfortable all year round. A weight of 190 g/m² ensures appropriate stability of the shape, while a width of 140 cm provides plenty of material for classic blazers and lightweight coats. A twill weave gives a subtle diagonal ribbing on the surface and improves drape and durability; the houndstooth creates a characteristic, microscopically fine pattern that looks very elegant up close. A matte finish enhances the subtlety of the entire composition, which is why the fabric looks great in formal sets while still not losing its modern character. It is a material that combines durability with easy care, while maintaining the natural comfort of wool.

Pattern and color palette of the check fabric

Available variants are the classic houndstooth check. The check forms clear, rectangular fields that, together with the houndstooth, gain exceptional depth and elegant dynamics. The pattern is woven in natural shades of wool with black, navy blue, burgundy, and honey tones, and the matte finish highlights the subtlety of the colors. In daylight, the pattern takes on a delicate, three-dimensional character, which adds a distinctive flair to the blazer.

      Care for wool

For 100% wool, the safest option is dry cleaning or gentle hand washing at 30°C with a mild wool detergent. Avoid high temperatures and bleach; do not dry in a tumble dryer. After washing, wring out excess water, lay flat, and leave to dry in a well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight. Iron on the left side using steam and a thin cloth, at temperatures up to about 150°C, which will result in the least visible creases. Store away from strong sunlight and rolled coils to maintain the natural springiness of the fibers.

      Uses for the check fabric

Recommended for: classic blazers (single- and double-breasted), elegant jackets, and lightweight coats with a refined character. Thanks to its weight and drape, the fabric works well in moderately tailored cuts and precise seams, but you can also design relaxed oversize styles with it. It holds its shape nicely thanks to the twill weave, and the check-and-houndstooth pattern will add a touch of charisma to every design. An ideal choice for office staff, architects, and all lovers of classic style with a hint of modernity.
