Woolen shirting fabric - natural Loro Piana is a refined combination of cotton’s character with wool’s softness, created with elegant shirts in mind. This is a shirting fabric with a twill weave featuring a raw-fiber effect and a matte finish. Does it sound serious? Properties

This blend of 65% cotton and 35% wool provides an exceptional balance between breathability and warmth. As a result, the fabric transfers moisture well while maintaining pleasant thermal protection. A weight of 140 g/m² guarantees lightness and durability, and a width of 150 cm provides practical cutting allowances. The twill weave gives classic diagonal ridges and better resistance to creasing. The matte finish highlights subtle elegance and makes it easy to pair with other fabrics. Thanks to the properties of the blend, the fabric is breathable and pleasant to the touch, while the wool adds gentle warmth and natural moisture regulation, making it comfortable all year round.

Pattern and color

Against a natural beige background, the twill weave creates a subtle, diagonal pattern—still visible, but not overpowering. The raw-fiber effect adds character and authenticity to the fabric. The matte finish makes it easy to combine with other materials. Available color is the natural cream shade, which pairs well with navy, graphite, and olive.

Care

Composition: 65% cotton, 35% wool. Wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C, do not use chlorine. Dry hanging in the shade or lay flat to dry. Iron with steam at a medium temperature when the fabric is still slightly damp. Avoid high temperatures and prolonged soaking.

Application

Ideal for classic office shirts and smart-casual inserts. Thanks to its slightly soft yet shape-retaining handle, it works perfectly in styles with straight/draped lines, such as regular-fit shirts or semi-formal sets that combine elegance with comfort.
