Mulberry silk — what it is, that is, properties

A natural treasure in two forms: 100% mulberry silk or versions with added elastane, with a weight of around 16 momme, which guarantees excellent abrasion resistance and durability. Mulberry silk is a fabric with exceptional hygroscopicity and thermoregulation — the skin breathes, moisture evaporates, and the material maintains thermal comfort even in changing conditions. How to care for silk?

Composition: 100% mulberry silk or versions with elastane. To maintain the fabric’s properties, we recommend washing on a delicate cycle or hand washing in water up to 30°C with a mild detergent intended for silk. Avoid chlorine and high temperatures. Do not spin at high speeds; best is to dry laid flat or hang in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight. Set the iron to a low temperature (or medium) and press through a delicate piece of cotton on the wrong side; if needed, use steam from a distance so as not to damage the delicate structure. Elastane versions also require gentle care to preserve stretch without losing shape.
