Viscose—what kind of material is it?

Viscose, which is made from cellulose fiber, is a material of natural origin. Because it is organically sourced, it has excellent thermoregulating properties, meaning it wicks moisture away from our skin. Viscose is also classified as a man-made material, because it “does not grow on its own,” but is produced from various types of plant pulp.

Viscose of this delicate and airy grade is valued for its lightness and softness. It dyes well and holds color nicely.

We have a full range of colors to choose from, from gentle pastels through fiery red, fuchsia to navy and black. The color range is broad enough to match many outfits.

Care for delicate viscose

The manufacturer recommends gentle washing; it can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 to 40 degrees and ironed on a delicate setting with one dot. The more gently you treat viscose, the longer it lasts and the more it retains its color.

Applications of viscose with light grammage

Ideal for airy dresses and skirts. Wherever in the design there are ruffles and layers. Blouses and shirts will be slightly sheer, but they will provide a cooling, lightweight feel on the skin. This viscose is also ideal as lining under silk or other viscose.
