What is lyocell denim?

Lyocell is a cellulose fiber produced in a closed-loop process, which makes this fabric eco-friendly and exceptionally comfortable. With a weight of 335 g/m², the fabric has a solid yet soft feel, providing a nice drape and stability. The twill weave adds denim character and subtle ribbing on the surface. Lyocell is highly breathable and hygroscopic — the skin stays dry and comfortable throughout the day. The fabric absorbs dyes well, so colors (light denim, denim, dark denim, gray denim) are deep and long-lasting. The washed effect gives denim a “washed” look, with a soft, natural patina. A width of 140 cm makes cutting simple and economical even for complex styles.

Pattern and color range of lyocell

A classic twill weave (diagonal twill) is visible on the surface — typical for denim. The washed effect gives the fabric a subtle patina character: denim in four shades gains a slightly worn, everyday yet stylish look. Available colors are light denim, denim, dark denim, and gray denim. In a design, the colors will look naturally and elegantly.

Care instructions for lyocell

Composition: 100% lyocell. Wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, with the fabric turned inside out and with similar colors. Use mild detergents, without chlorine. Avoid bleach. Do not dry at high temperatures; best to air-dry or use a dryer on low spin. Iron on the wrong side, medium setting, with steam to maintain softness and light drape. Remember to handle viscose garments gently; too high a temperature can shrink the fabric, wash out the color, or leave streaks. Use proven washing machine programs.

Application of denim lyocell

This is a unique fabric for denim projects with a luxurious character. Classic-cut jeans will look excellent in both light and dark versions, as well as in mixed looks. It will also work well as a material for jackets and overshirts, lightweight A-line skirts, and loose, long dresses that need good structure and fluid drape. Thanks to the washed effect, the fabric gains authentic, stylish denim that does not lose its nobility even with everyday wear.

Each fabric undergoes a drum washing process to enhance its unique character and tactile qualities. This artisanal treatment may cause minor differences in shade, texture, and finishing. These features are an inherent and intended part of the process and should not be treated as defects, but as a reflection of the fabric’s identity.
