What is acrylic?

Acrylic material is the common name for polyacrylonitrile, an artificial fiber, formed by a chemical reaction called polymerization of acrylonitrile. Due to the low cost of production, acrylic fabrics are popular among manufacturers. The biggest disadvantage of acrylic is its lack of air permeability, so our skin does not breathe, nor does it retain heat. Although the fabric has been mainly adopted as a fiber for coats, it does not perform its function such as heating in cold weather. Since acrylic clothing can often be of very good quality, it is hard to distinguish it from those made of real wool. The advantage of acrylic fabric store is that it does not crease and dries quickly. A sweater that has been washed should dry laid flat in no time. This fabric is extremely resilient, and it is very well shaped and holds its form. It can be safely washed at high water temperature. As for ironing, it is best not to iron the fabric at high temperatures like all other synthetics.
