Cotton knitted fabrics
What are cotton knits?
Cotton knitted fabrics is the common name for knitted fabrics that have been woven from cotton threads and cotton is largely their main ingredient. It happens commonly that 2-5% elastane is added to the cotton composition of knitted fabrics.
Among these types of knitted fabrics we can include:
-
cotton sweater knits, from which we can make soft and warm sweaters with which to wrap ourselves during autumn and winter evenings;
-
cotton sweatpants knitted fabrics for use in tracksuits, caps, chimneys;
-
ribbed cotton knits, which can be used to create fashionable turtlenecks or "tube" dresses, which, despite their very tight character, will remain intact after wearing, precisely thanks to the addition of elastane;
Cotton knits with elastane have another great advantage...namely, they do not need to be ironed. It is enough after taking them out of the washing machine, well "shake them out "and hang them up to dry.
It is also worth noting that all cotton knits are also used for sewing underwear. Here we mean bras, panties of various kinds, and nightwear-pajamas, shirts, nightgowns. These are parts of clothing that adhere tightly to the body, and therefore, betting on our comfort, we choose them sewn just from cotton knit fabric. The aforementioned cotton knit fabric, in addition to its stretching properties, pleasant to the touch, is also antiseptic.
All kinds of cotton knitted fabrics, cotton sweater knitted fabrics, cotton sweatpants, cotton ribbed knitted fabrics, cotton knitted fabrics with elastane can be washed in washing machines at 30-40 degrees, unless the clothing manufacturer recommends another way of washing!!!
Remember that by strictly observing the recommendations for clothing maintenance (washing, drying), we contribute to the fact that a particular cotton knitwear will serve us longer.
