What is knitted fabric?
Knitted fabric is a knitted material that has been woven from rows or columns into small meshes. The fibers of the yarn that is used in knitting are more flexible, so the material stretches in all directions. The knitted fabric has a soft and flexible structure. It can be knitted in two ways. Row weaves (such as jersey) or column weaves (such as tulle) are used.
You can find all the following types of knitted fabrics in our stationary knitwear wholesaler and online knitwear store.
There are severaltypes of knitted fabrics:
1) JERSEY: It has a distinct right and left side. It can have different thicknesses. It is used to create tracksuits, pajamas, T-shirts, sweatshirts.
2) POLAR: It is a knitted fabric made of polyester fibers. It is very warm. It is used to make functional clothing, but also home accessories: such as blankets and pillows.
3) INTERLOCK: This is a double-sided knit fabric, smooth on both sides. It is lightweight, stretchy, springy and soft. It stretches across. It retains the shape of the garment-in other words, it "does not push out". It finds its use in women's and children's tailoring.
4) FROTTA: This is a "hairy"-looped knit fabric, which is used mainly for towels and bathrobes. It is created from natural cotton fibers.
5) SLEEPER: A classic cotton or viscose finish for sweatshirts, sweaters and sweatpants. Extremely elastic which means that the end of sleeves or pants will not stretch.
6) TRYKOT: Can come in various thicknesses or weave densities. Used in the production of women's and men's clothing (T-shirts, sweatshirts, pajamas, "tube" dresses, sweatpants).
Importantly, we sell knitted fabrics by the meter and in wholesale quantities.
